There a certain moments in life that we want to remember. Engagements, weddings, anniversaries, senior year, newborns, adoptions, ministry events, homecomings, and are times that we love to savor. We absolutely love being invited into these times in people's lives and count it as a great privilege.
Patrick
I grew up as an Air Force brat, but I claim Colorado Springs, CO as my hometown. I moved from there in the fall of 2009 to go to school at Harding University in Searcy, AR and it has quickly become my home! I recently graduated with a degree in Youth & Family Ministry and couldn't think of going anywhere else. Over the years, I have developed a talent for graphic design which has spilled over into photography and film. I picked up a camera in the Summer of 2013 after being inspired by short wedding films and have been running hard after it every day since! I love getting better at what I do every day.
In addition to photography and film, I enjoy playing music (mainly guitar), leading worship, trying to be the Superman of church volunteersmanship, watching way too much Netflix, listening to podcasts, and geeking out on How To and DIY videos on YouTube.
Amber
She grew up in Arkansas and only wishes she could claim Colorado as her hometown. She lived in Colorado when she was 1 year old and has lived in a few other places, but Searcy keeps calling her back. Amber, who I almost exclusively call "Baby" and it seems weird to use her actually name, was homeschooled almost all the way through school and attended the 220i Internship at Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, LA right after she graduated. From what I hear, she has always been very creative and has always had an incredible imagination and ability to create. If I had to guess, I would say her passion for photography comes out of that creativity mixed with a genuine heart for people. She also picked up a camera in the Summer of 2013 and has been learning and getting better everyday!
In addition to photography, she enjoys writing, reading, learning Japanese, hanging out with friends, drawing, day dreaming, watching movies, running, exercising, and trying to make "healthy" desserts.
Our Story
We met in the best place you could meet: Church! Amber grew up at out church The River, but I had only been going for about a year when we started noticing each other. We had many mutual friends, but hadn't paid much attention to each other until Valentine's Day of 2012. By March 1st we were dating (with her dad's approval of course), June 12th we were engaged, and August 11th we were married. We moved quickly, but we felt like it was the Lord's timing and we haven't looked back since! We learn everyday how to be better spouses and hope that we can influence others for good wherever we go. We give all the glory to God who is our sustainer and our source.
